Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized, as part of its biweekly lectures on Zoom platform, on Monday, September 13, 2021, a lecture which was given by Prof. Dr. Sameh Al Bannai, Professor of Archaeology and Islamic Arts, Faculty of Arts, Assiut University, entitled: “Art of Manuscript Binding through Islamic Ages,” in which the lecturer addressed the emergence of the art of binding Islamic manuscripts. He also dealt with the various industrial methods of binding art such as pressing, unloading, lacquer method, and other well-known industrial methods in the art of binding throughout the Islamic ages.

The lecture reviewed the importance of coins in the Arab-Islamic world in the intermediate period.
