On Monday, November 1, 2021, Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a scientific lecture entitled “The Significance of Archaeological Findings and Heritage Sources in Archaeological Site History – Application on Al-Ma’shouq Palace in Basra Min Ra’a”, hosted by Dr. Atef Mansour Ramadan, Professor of Archaeology and Islamic Coins, Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology at Fayoum University, at the headquarters of the Sharjah Archaeology Authority, in addition to broadcasting it virtually via Zoom platform.
Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a lecture hosted by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hamid Al Nimr, who holds a PhD in Islamic Arts and Archaeology, on Monday, October 25, 2021, entitled “Islamic Shrines and Archaeology in Egypt’s Western Deserts – Dakhla Oasis as a Model”.
On the occasion of World Archaeology Day, on Sunday, October 17, 2021, Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a remote lecture entitled: “The Findings of Archaeological Work at Sharjah Archaeology Authority during the Exceptional Circumstances of the Covid-19 Pandemic”.
On Monday, October 11, 2021, Sharjah Archaeology Authority hosted a lecture by Professor Dr. Shaaban Mohamed Mahmoud, Head of Archaeology Restoration Department – Faculty of Archaeology – Fayoum University, as part of its bi-weekly lecture series, a lecture entitled :”Rehabilitation and Employment of Archaeological and Historical Buildings”.
Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized, as part of its biweekly lectures on Zoom platform, on Monday, September 13, 2021, a lecture which was given by Prof. Dr. Sameh Al Bannai, Professor of Archaeology and Islamic Arts, Faculty of Arts, Assiut University, entitled: “Art of Manuscript Binding through Islamic Ages,” in which the lecturer addressed the emergence of the art of binding Islamic manuscripts. He also dealt with the various industrial methods of binding art such as pressing, unloading, lacquer method, and other well-known industrial methods in the art of binding throughout the Islamic ages.

Sharjah Archeology Authority organized, as part of its biweekly lectures, a lecture by Professor Mamdouh bin Mazawm Al Fadil, a founding member of the Gate of Arab Inscriptions in Abu Dhabi, on 5/7/2021, entitled: “The Thamudic Inscriptions in the Gate of Arab Inscriptions,” in which he discussed the significance of the Gate of Arab Inscriptions and the definition of Thamudic inscriptions, in addition to shedding the light on the most important Thamudi drawings.
Sharjah Archeology Authority organized a virtual lecture as part of its scientific lectures that are broadcast every two weeks, presented by Dr. Mohammed Al Ghadban, Professor at the University of Tunis El Manar, entitled: “Dar Al Sikka Al Islamiya Dictionary in the Intermediate Period”. The lecture reviewed the importance of coins in the Arab-Islamic world in the intermediate period.
