“As part of its archaeological and educational activities, The Sharjah Archaeology Authority, via Zoom platform organized today, Monday 24/5/2021 a scientific lecture by Dr. Al-Nawuri Boukhchim – Professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Tunis in the field of heritage sciences, entitled: “Urban and Architectural Heritage in Southeast Tunisia.” It aims to learn about the great architectural and architectural richness that characterizes South East Africa through the importance of the archaeological sites that characterize the region .

‘As part of its archaeological and educational activities held biweekly through the “zoom” program, Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a scientific lecture by Dr. Fayza riash, professor at the Faculty of media and communication sciences at the University of Algeria, on Monday, 29/3/2021, entitled: “Algeria 2.4 million years of existence”, during which she observed the different civilizations that Algeria witnessed in different eras”, the High ancient era, and others” such as:” Ibero-Maghreb, qafsiyah, mestiria, and atariyah”, and the many distinctive sites in which the archaeological tools of civilization were completed such as the sites:”Raih, kolmnata, tagnif, Haj, mushta Al-Arabi, Khanqah Al-muhahad, and between here Katan”. The lecture was presented by Mr. Issa Youssef, deputy director general of the commission, and was attended by approximately 97 participants.

‘As part of its biweekly lectures, the Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a lecture by Dr. Sultan Al duwish, director of the Department of antiquities and museums, a professor on assignment in the Department of history at Kuwait University, on 15/3/2021 entitled: “The boys in prehistoric times”, in which he dealt with the Antiquities discovered in this area with its fresh wells, which facilitated the docking of ships in its port, counting the foreign missions that carried out excavations in the state of Kuwait, including: Danish, British, Georgian, Polish, Swiss, French, in addition to the Gulf, and local missions. The lecture was presented by Mr. Issa Youssef, deputy director general of Sharjah Antiquities Authority, and was watched by nearly 95 viewers through zoom.

‘Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized today, 1/2/2021, as part of its scientific lectures broadcast every biweekly, a lecture entitled: “The material archaeological heritage of the city of Tlemcen”, presented by Dr. Sabrina Dahmani, assistant professor at ABI Bakr Belkaid University-Tlemcen-Algeria, during which she reviewed the geography and history of the city of Tlemcen, she mentioned the many civilizations that encountered by it, starting from Roman civilization with its funerary buildings and cemeteries, ending with Islamic civilization that left many historical buildings and mosques. Presented by Dr. Yazan Abu al-Hassan, and watched by 73 viewers, on Zoom program

‘Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a scientific lecture on antiquities and archaeological research in the kingdom of Morocco and its multiple vocabulary, and related to archaeological finds and assets, presented by Professor Dr. Hassan taushekht, professor of higher education at the National Institute of Archaeology and heritage in Rabat, through the zoom program, The lecture was followed by approximately one hundred and seventy people who follow the programs of the Authority, which it broadcasts every two weeks according to the program referred to, the lecture was presented by Dr. Yazan Abu al-Hassan.

‘Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a remote scientific lecture via zoom program entitled: “environmental archaeology: the case of the study of prehistoric periods in Sudan”, presented by the associate professor at the Faculty of Archaeology, Nielsen University, Dr. Hammad Mohammed Hamdin in the presence of 70 participants, where he pointed out in his lecture that environmental archaeology is based on the study and the attempt to explain the effects through the environment, he presented a summary of this science while highlighting models on systematic application in Sudan.

‘The Sharjah Archeology Authority organized remotely a lecture on “Aesthetic Values in Islamic Manuscripts”, presented by Prof. Dr. Amin Abdullah Rashidi, and administered by Dr. Yazan Abu Al-Hassan, which was participated by a number of 200 participants who are interested in preserving antiquities.

‘The Sharjah Archeology Authority organized a virtual lecture entitled “Using non-destructive ultrasound technology in examining archaeological pieces and structures”, presented by Dr. Abdul Rahim Ahmed, from the Faculty of Archeology and Anthropology at Yarmouk University in Jordan, during which he addressed the classification of the main applications of ultrasound for stones and artifacts. In the presence of 130 participants who are interested in preserving antiquities, from inside and outside the state.

‘The Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a virtual lecture entitled “Islamic Coins, a document of history and its mirror”, a journey in modern research methodologies and their importance, administered by Mr. Issa Youssef, Director of the Department of Antiquities at the Authority, and presented by the researcher Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Sayed who touched on the importance and nature of Islamic coins, and modern methodologies in the study of Islamic coins, the number of attendees exceeded t 120 participants of those who are interested in preserving antiquities from inside and outside the state.

‘Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a virtual lecture entitled “Islamic shrines and sanctuaries in Jordan – a study in history and antiquities”, in which the researcher in the field of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Jumana duikat, talked about their importance, religious and historical status, and the extent of their spread in various Jordanian governorates, cities and villages, the number of attendance exceeded 120 participants of those who are interested in preserving antiquities inside and outside the state.
