This book highlights the results of the archaeological excavation works carried out by the local expedition from Sharjah Archaeology Authority headed by Dr. Sabah Jassem. It lasted for 12 years, since 1995. The excavations unearthed a vast cemetery burying hundreds of human skeletons dating back to the fifth millennium BC, in addition to 90 tombs from both ages: bronze and iron. The discoveries include important and unprecedented examples of burial architecture and archaeological pieces exiting therein. It also highlighted the religious beliefs and burial methods by the ancient inhabitants in the United Arab Emirates and Oman Peninsula. The Book is written by Dr. Sabah Aboud Al Jassem.
