Publication Ethics
Ethical Guidelines for Authors
First: General Responsibilities of Authors
- Treat all co-authors involved in the research fairly, respectfully, objectively, honestly, and transparently.
- Submit original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another publishing entity at the same time.
- Refrain from any form of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, data manipulation, or fabrication of results.
Second: Authorship and Contributions
- Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a direct and substantial scholarly contribution to the research.
- The order of authors’ names must be agreed upon prior to submission; submission of the manuscript constitutes confirmation that all authors have approved the final version.
- Contributions that do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged in the acknowledgments section, where applicable.
Third: Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
- Authors are required to fully disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest (financial, professional, or institutional) that may influence the interpretation of the research findings.
- If no conflicts of interest exist, authors must explicitly declare this.
Fourth: Data Integrity and Verifiability
- Authors must present data and results accurately and transparently and retain original data and materials for verification upon request.
- Authors are expected to follow accepted practices for sharing research materials and data necessary to replicate the study, both before and after publication, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Fifth: Confidentiality and Copyright
- The journal respects the confidentiality of authors’ work throughout all stages of peer review and publication.
- Authors must not disclose peer-review correspondence or its content without prior written permission from the journal.
- Copyright and access policies are governed by the journal’s regulations, and acceptance for publication constitutes agreement to these terms.
Sixth: Peer Review Process and Editorial Communication
- Editorial decisions are made within a reasonable timeframe and communicated to authors in a clear and constructive manner.
- When revisions are requested, authors are expected to respond to reviewers’ comments in a scholarly and methodical way.
- Authors have the right to request reconsideration of editorial decisions in accordance with the journal’s established procedures.
Seventh: Handling Ethical Issues and Misconduct
- The journal applies clear policies for addressing allegations or cases of academic misconduct (including plagiarism, duplicate publication, and data manipulation), in accordance with COPE guidelines.
- The journal reserves the right to reject or retract published articles if misconduct is confirmed and to take all necessary corrective actions.
Eighth: Compliance with Procedures and Policies
- Authors are informed that submissions are evaluated according to the journal’s standard procedures or, where applicable, an alternative decision-making process, which will be clarified in advance.
- Authors are required to review and comply with all editorial policies and standards adopted by the journal.
Ninth: Role of the Editorial Board
Editors and associate editors, under the supervision of the Editor-in-Chief, are responsible for applying these principles fairly and impartially and for ensuring the integrity of the scholarly publishing process.
