Sharjah Archaeology Authority has concluded its participation in the activities of the Emirates Innovation Month in Sharjah, which was held at Sharjah Book Authority headquarters during the period from 8 to 14 February, dubbed “EMIRATES INNOVATES TO PREPARE FOR ITS FIFTY”, with the participation of a large number of governmental and semi-governmental institutions in the emirate.

Authority’s pavilion welcomed a huge number of visitors, especially school and university students who participated in many of the technologies and innovations presented, and a hologram projector of artifacts that were found in the Emirate of Sharjah, in addition to the game of excavation of antiquities, and the Musnad font technology (one of the oldest languages discovered for blogging) ) which allows the visitor to write his name in Arabic or English and then the application converts it to the Musnad font, in addition to attending a number of educational and awareness-raising lectures.
Issa Yousef, Director of Archaeology and Physical Heritage at Sharjah Archaeology Authority said: “Our participation in the activities of the Emirates Innovation Month contributed to enhancing our awareness message by employing innovations and modern technologies to introduce Sharjha’s antiquities and its ancient history, and efforts in research and exploration in order to discover more information about the region and its civilization. “

He pointed out that Sharjah Archaeology Authority adopts innovation as an approach to work and a societal culture, through its use of the latest innovations in the field of archaeological exploration, as well as by using them to innovate in introducing the authority and its efforts and services, and to expand and develop search and investigation processes for archaeological sites spread in the emirate, and to install it on the archaeological map .

Sharjah Archaeology Authority supervises the archaeological sites and provides them with the necessary protection in coordination with the concerned authorities, in addition to excavating the antiquities according to a well-studied and general policy, and organizing the work of foreign archaeological excavation missions working in the emirate, through supervision, coordination and participation with them, studying, analyzing, restoring and maintaining movable and fixed archaeological discoveries.
