This exhibition, “Identity and Culture: Archaeological Heritage in Sharjah – United Arab Emirates,” is presented within the scope of the protocol signed between the Ministry of Culture, through the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Portugal, and the Sharjah Antiquities Authority.

To allow the valuable cultural heritage of the Emirate of Sharjah to be displayed for the first time in Portugal, it is also a historical and archaeological testimony to the existence of humanity over thousands of years, and the passage of diverse cultures through Sharjah, including Portuguese culture in the 16th and 17th centuries AD.
