His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah received an Honorary Doctoral Degree from Madrid Independent University, Autonoma Madrid, in recognition of His Highness efforts supporting the culture, in presence of University president and the deans of faculties and some Spanish academic and political leaders in Spain. Dr. Sabah Al Jassem director general of Sharjah Archaeology Authority attended the honoring meeting.

Dr. Sabah Al Jassem director general of Sharjah Archaeology Authority also attended Madrid International Book Fair 2019, Edition 37 “Liber Exhibition”. Sharjah is Honorary Guest for the exhibition, thanks to its thought and intellectual and knowledge richness and assets, as well as bridges of communications with all world cultures and civilizations from all around the world. During its presence for the first time in this world level event and as part of Sharjah Book Fair Pavilion, Sharjah Archaeology Authority presented a collection of its editions specialized in archaeology, history, and heritage in both Arabic and English languages, to the visitors of the Book Fair, especially to the visitors of Arabic nationalities living in Spain and South Europe.
