Sharjah Archaeology Authority organized a lecture on Monday 10/08/2020 titled:”pottery and community identity: an archaeological study of Islamic pottery collections in northern Jordan” presented by Dr. Hussein Mahmoud al-Sababha, assistant professor of Archaeology, Yarmouk University, and administered by Dr. Yazan Abu al-Hassan. Dr. Sababha stated that: archaeology; a trend commonly used to obtain scientific information, but information can always be interpreted and paired with ethnographic and archaeological studies, so the use of pottery as a cultural option was key to this study, to discuss community identity. At the end of the lecture, he responded to the participant’s queries , the number of attendees were in excess of 140 participants.
