On Monday, January 17, 2022, Sharjah Archaeology Authority hosted a lecture by Professor Dr. Muhammad Hamza Al-Haddad, Professor of Archaeology and Islamic Civilization, entitled “Sustainable Tourism Development in Archaeological and Heritage Sites in Historic Cairo” in which he explained the importance of historic Cairo as a world heritage property, highlighting the thought and vision of the political leadership in Egypt about sustainable tourism development projects in archaeological sites, stressing that the goal of preserving archaeological and heritage sites is to preserve the identity and culture of society.
