A virtual platform for the Culture and Identity Exhibition of Sharjah Archaeological Heritage Sharjah Archaeology Authority, on World Museum Day (May 18). Sharjah Archaeology Authority Archaeology’s Exhibition was reproduced virtually at the Lisbon National Archaeology Museum, where Portuguese visitors visited it eagerly. Management of the museum has full information about the new photos displayed, with a virtual tour into the exhibition halls in the museum and live broadcast in Portugal, as well as in the rest of Europe and the world, in a ceremonial manner, which had a clear impact on the imagination of its viewers and followers in its virtual world.

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, may God protect him, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, on the 14th of September 2019 inaugurated the exhibition under the title: “Culture and Identity of Sharjah Heritage Archaeology, “in the presence of Dr. Graça Fonseca, Portuguese Minister of Culture, and His Excellency Musa Abdel Wahed Al Khaja, the UAE Ambassador to Portugal. The exhibition attracted 250 thousand visitors. The newspapers around the world took a positive view and highlighted this exhibition. The exhibition lasted for 45 days, at the National Museum of Lisbon.

Dr. Sabah Aboud Jasim, Director General of Sharjah Archaeology Authority, praised this virtual exhibition, and considered it as one of the methods for tourism promotion in the Emirate of Sharjah, which includes examples of archaeological discoveries from different civilizational periods from the ages: stone, prehistoric, iron age, and periods: Hellenistic and the pre-Islamic and post-Islamic era, and the civilizational mixture that it represents and reflects the prominent position of the region in various eras, and the virtual exhibition halls include archaeological finds from Maliha, Dibba Al-Hisn, Khor Fakkan, Pearl, Al Dhaid, Kalba, and other archaeological areas in Smiling emirate.
