“Yuanfu tongbao” (“Treasure in circulation of Yuanfu period”) was issued during Yuanfu era (1098-1110) of Emperor Zhe-zong (personal name Zhao Xu, the 7th Song Dynasty Emperor, on the throne at 1085-1110). In his premature reign Song Empire reached its greatest territorial extent. This type of coin may have different characters on the reverse, but the present coin has plain reverse. [Zhu She 1991, vol.
