A rock from Khor Fakkan, Sharjah, with an important inscription dating to the 19th century, reads as follows: “We took Khor Fakkan on Tuesday 8 Muharram year 1259 written by Ali bin Muhammad al-Tallah. Khor Fakkan 19th century.
